Set on 15.4 acres of off-grid farmland in Porter, Maine and surrounded by another 200+ acres of conservation wildland, La Finca is a worker-owned cooperative grounded in BIPOC leadership and majority stakeholder ship. We are committed to healing the mind, body, and soul of the individual and the collective and seek to represent underrepresented communities while providing a pathway for connecting with plants, animals, and one another.

We abuse the land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us. When we see the land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.

— Aldo Leopold

In a world where land has turned into a commodity, at La Finca, we strive to shift the relationship we as individuals and as a society have with nature - and as a result, with one another. It is our mission to build community centered around land in a way that is restorative rather than extractive, diversified rather than monocultural, in solidarity rather than privatized.

We are proud to be A MEMBER AND PARTNER OF Land in Common.
